Keeptime Privacy Policy

The Keeptime app does not collect or transmit personal data. This policy covers local settings, website visits and support requests.

1. The Keeptime app

Keeptime is a metronome made by Ruby Cat for iPhone and iPad. The app has no accounts, advertising, analytics or tracking. It does not access your microphone, contacts, photos or location, and does not upload your practice activity.

You do not need a network connection to use the metronome or read its in-app instructions and privacy information. The app does not operate a Keeptime cloud service or sell personal data.

2. Settings stored on your device

Keeptime's local app preferences store only:

  • Your last tempo.
  • Your bell setting.
  • Whether you have read the introduction.

These preferences are used to restore your settings and avoid showing the introduction each time. Opening the app does not automatically start playback. We do not receive these settings or sync them through a Keeptime service.

Retention and deletion. Settings remain locally until you change them or delete the app and its data. Offloading the app can retain its data. Your device backup may also contain preferences, depending on your system settings; restoring a backup may restore them. Manage or delete those backups using Apple's device and backup controls.

3. Audio and timing

The app plays metronome sounds on your device, including in the background when you start playback. It does not record audio. System timing information is used only to synchronize sound, animation and touch, and is not sent off your device.

4. Visiting this website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare. Serving and protecting the site involves processing request information such as your IP address, requested URL, request time and browser headers.

Cloudflare Worker logging is enabled, so requests may be logged for site operation. Log retention and access: ask at contact@rubycat.co.

These Keeptime pages contain no advertising pixels, embedded analytics, forms or remotely hosted fonts. The product page runs one small script for its silent pendulum preview; it makes no network requests. The page code does not set cookies or use browser storage.

5. Support and privacy requests

If you contact support, your email address, message and any attachments are used to respond to your request. Please do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.

6. Policy changes

Effective date: 8 November 2026.

This policy describes the current first-release version of Keeptime. If the app's data practices change, this policy and the in-app privacy information will be updated.
